Waves of Gold – My Journey to the Hidden Gem of Great Sand Dunes National Park

The cool stream provided a refreshing contrast to the sunbaked sand, and I took a moment to simply stand in the water, watching the light dance across the rippling surface. When night fell, the park transformed into one of the darkest and most pristine stargazing spots in the country. Lying on the sand, I gazed up at a sky ablaze with countless stars, the Milky Way stretching across like a glowing river. The absolute silence of the dunes, broken only by the occasional rustling of the wind, made the experience feel almost spiritual. Great Sand Dunes National Park is truly a hidden treasure, an extraordinary blend of desert, mountains, and sky.
