It was a series of light displays each with a different theme for the tunnel portion. There were more areas too. A great experience. 
Pretty awesome place to pay a visit with family! Cool playground for kids. Very beautiful night view and awesome show and illumination here.

清涼上市！

天気にも恵まれ、富士山もくっきりきれいに見ることができました。
定番の共立リゾートサービスのほかに、ここには足湯があります。屋上の足湯は富士山ビュー。肌寒いためか、他に利用する人はおらず、貸切でした。
ウェルカムドリンク、湯上り処のアイスキャンディ、夜鳴きラーメン、サービスを満喫しながら過ごせました。共立系ホテルではついつい滞在時間が長くなります。
大浴場は天然温泉で、他のドーミーより広め。
サウナセルフロウリュゥを目的に宿泊している方もいました。
駐車場は出し入れ自由ですので、夕食はうなぎを食べに出かけました。

For me it was a random found, but what a lovely place filled with a variety of things to see and food to try. Illumination was mesmerizing and very beautiful. In different areas of the premises, there are different outdoor settings which look great. A must visit place, great for all ages. Kids will definitely enjoy! 
This place is a local favorite. Whether you are going to the plethora of eateries, to enjoy the illuminations, or just for a simple stroll, Toki no Sumika is a place you rarely get tired of checking out every once in a while.

Blessed with good weather, we were able to see Mount Fuji clearly and beautifully.
In addition to the standard Kyoritsu Resort services, there is a foot bath here. The rooftop foot bath has a view of Mount Fuji. Perhaps because it was a bit chilly, no one else was using it, so I had it all to myself.
I enjoyed the welcome drink, the ice candy after bathing, the midnight ramen, and the services. At Kyoritsu group hotels, I always end up staying for a long time.
The large communal bath is a natural hot spring and is slightly larger than other Dormy Inns.
Some guests were staying with the purpose of using the sauna's self-throwing water.
The parking lot is free to enter and exit, so we went out for eel for dinner.

It takes about 25 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by car from Gotemba Premium Outlets to reach Toraya Workshop, where you can enjoy delicious Japanese sweets.
I stayed at a nearby hotel and went there by rental bicycle.
As expected of a popular spot, there was a long queue, but with bamboo groves and nature all around, the wait was not boring as I could enjoy the surroundings.
The shop is spacious with plenty of seats, so I didn't have to wait too long.

This cafe, directly managed by the long-established Japanese confectionery store 'Toraya', offered a variety of Japanese sweets.
There were also sweets for souvenirs, and the atmosphere was a healing space completely different from the outlet.

The scene is incredibly exciting. Men and women casting their lines earnestly and waiting patiently for the catch as elderly gents and ladies stroll around on the promenade , some walking their dogs!! The Sakura in full bloom hugging the oval shaped lake lends the scene the beauty of a Japanese miniature.

I want to go fishing with my father this 2024. I missed those days.

The site is a villa that belongs to late Highnesses Prince and Princesses Chichibunomiya, but now open to public. Entrance fee is Y300. The garden is not big but there are lots of seasonal flowers there. Spring-Autumn is the best time to visit this site. You can enter the villa building and read some history about Prince and Princesses Chichibunomiya. They also provide hot tea there. 

I want to visit Gotemba again this year.

Thank God that the weather was so nice that day; the view of Mt. Fuji was so clear and gorgeous.

We took the bus from Kawaguchiko Station to Gotemba Station, and the road itself was so vibrant with autumn colours.

We pay with Suica Card and it takes 1 hour and 17 minutes to get there.

Touring around Mount Fuji, staying in Gotemba is a wise choice. The house prices here are not as expensive as Lake Kawaguchi, and you can see Mount Fuji when you go out. There are direct trains, and there are buses to Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Ashi in Hakone, and Shinjuku in front of the train station. I took a train from Tokyo to the Izu Peninsula and played for half a day, went up to Omuroyama, went to Kinosaki Coast, and took a train from Atami to Gotemba via Numazu in the evening. I stayed at the Gotemba Selected Hotel near the train station. The room rate for a double room is more than 400 including breakfast, which is very cost-effective. There is a MAX VALUE supermarket near the hotel, and it’s great to buy seafood back to the hotel. The next day I got up, opened the window, and Mount Fuji was in front of me. The rising sun shone on Mount Fuji, like the sun shining on the golden mountain, and I quickly ran to the street and took a few shots. The first stop of the tour around Mount Fuji is the Asama Shrine on Ogurayama in Lake Kawaguchi. Take a bus to Mount Fuji Station, transfer to a tram to Shimoyoshida, and follow the crowd to Asama Shrine after getting off the bus. No tickets are required, and you can go up the mountain along the steps. In mid-November, the maple leaves have begun to turn red. Every time you reach a platform, it is a great place to shoot Mount Fuji. Finally, I arrived at the five-story pagoda. Everyone was crowded here to shoot Mount Fuji. It was a bit difficult to shoot people, and I could only shoot big headshots with Mount Fuji in the background. Shooting Mount Fuji in Asama Shrine is backlit, and the key to framing is to find a good foreground. Different foregrounds can shoot different big movies. The second stop is Lake Yamanaka. Take the tram back to Mount Fuji Station, then take the bus back to Gotemba and get off at Lake Yamanaka. Lake Yamanaka can see the scenery of Mount Fuji from the foot of the mountain, with a wide view. Walking to the other side of the lake can take pictures of mountains and waters. The third stop is the Peace Park in Gotemba. Take a bus back to Gotemba Station from Lake Yamanaka, then take a bus to Hakone to Peace Park. There is a stupa here. Overlooking Mount Fuji from Peace Park, the scenery is very good. Then I went to the outlet for a stroll. The fourth stop is the Owakudani in Hakone. From Gotemba Station Hakone Otome Exit, take a bus to Togen-dai on Lake Ashi, get off at Togen-dai, and then take a cable car to Owakudani (round trip 2500 yen). Here you can overlook Mount Fuji behind the mountains. Looking at Mount Fuji from here is in the light, and you can take beautiful photos when the weather is clear. Finally, take a train around Mount Fuji, from Gotemba to Numazu by train, and then to Hamamatsu by train. Along the way, you can see Mount Fuji appearing and disappearing on your right. If you seize the opportunity, you can take a good video. The next stop is to go to Kyoto to see the red leaves. The three-day tour around Mount Fuji was completed like this. Because I have been to other scenic spots of Mount Fuji before, this time I mainly wanted to shoot Mount Fuji with different directions and different light to achieve different effects.

Ladurée is a wonderful cafe we visited at Gotemba Premium Outlets Tokyo. 

Originally from Paris, this highly popular cafe re-creates the atmosphere of the Paris main store, reminiscent of a ladies' ballroom, and offers authentic French dishes created using local French recipes. Their special menu includes macarons and patisseries as well! Everything was delicious!

Come early to avoid the crowds! It opens at 10am and closes at 8pm. There’s plenty to see, shop and eat here! And it is also kids-friendly as there’s kid’s activities such as carousel and mini train tracks that kids can ride on.

There’s a great view of Mt. Fuji as well near the link bridge and a platform for you to take photo. There’s even a bus tour if you’re not driving. Come and visit!

Was craving for a good brunch and we came across this along the road. 

We ordered caramel banana and the original one with scrambled eggs on the side and it was exquisite! Love the texture of the pancakes and the cream was just light and balanced.

There’s wifi here too!

Booked an hour private room outdoor onsen in Hotel Clad. Cost is 70k Yen per hour. Have to make reservations as the private onsens rooms are limited. You dont have to be hotel guests to use the onsen. The room is spacious and clean.  There is a dining area in the room, so you can order food to have it there after the hot bath. Went at night, is so dark that I  can't see any view.  Hope to go back again and dip in the onsen during the daytime! Is a good way to relax after a whole day of shopping.
