Even though it's an old folk house, it doesn't feel super old, and it has a warm and cozy feel like grandma's house where you spent your childhood. lol The softly made rice balls are made with specially selected Gotemba Koshihikari rice. There are 5 types of fillings available at all times + fillings that change every month, and you can choose from 2 or 3 rice balls for your set meal. My recommendation is "Yomi ni chuu" (Crazy for the Egg) 🍳 lol Hojicha and green tea are self-service, which is nice 🍵 The customer service of the staff is also great, and I'm sure you'll want to go back again and again. A Japanese sweets shop with a lovely bamboo forest and garden 🍡 The mountain gate at the entrance has remained unchanged since the early Showa period, and is now the symbol of Toraya Kobo. The grounds are large, and there are walking paths and an east house, so it's fun to take a walk. I enjoyed the bamboo forest and autumn leaves. Ogura sweet red bean soup, made by adding honey-soaked red beans to carefully cooked sweet red bean soup, is my favorite dish that I order every time. Amazake is also delicious. Daifuku is only available on weekdays, and Sekihan Daifuku is only available on weekends and holidays. Budget: ¥330-⏰/Closed on Tuesdays. April-September 10:00-18:00.
