I thought Nalati was already beautiful, until I went to Kuerdening

If you ask me whether to choose Nalati or Kuerdening for a trip to Yili, Xinjiang during the May Day holiday, I can only tell you that it's a tough choice, because I find both places nice. Kuerdening is a small but exquisite beauty, and during this time, it's really beautiful. Kuerdening means 'horizontal ditch' in Kazakh, and it's a niche attraction in Xinjiang that has become popular in the last two years. I did some research online before and discovered its advantages 'few people, suitable for self-driving' plus the online pictures were very tempting! So I set off, and I really don't regret it. 📍 Navigation location: Kuerdening Zhonggou Ticket Check Currently, the West Gou and East Gou are closed, and you can only visit Kuerdening Zhonggou. After driving to the scenic area, follow the wooden plank road for a light hike. Zhonggou is at a low altitude, with streams, and the scenic spot is on the opposite side of the river in the forward direction, with parking spaces and a cable bridge to cross, suitable for wild dining and camping. There are also many beautiful sceneries along the way, and of course, hiking is tiring, but it's all worth it. I really like one of the spots here, the Qimengde Observation Deck. This is the highest observation deck in Kuerdening. Walking up along the wooden plank road, you can see the same kind of little wooden house as in the movie 'Heidi and Grandfather', and because I really like this movie, I feel it's really worth it. Note: Currently, you cannot drive to Qimengde. You can only park at the 'Kafeng Campsite' parking lot at the intersection of Zhonggou and Donggou, and then walk or ride a horse in. The road should be repaired soon. If anyone knows any updates, please let me know. The entrance fee is 30 yuan per person, no other fees are required when driving in, and the indoor parking is free. Horse riding is also available, 80 yuan for 1 hour of fun. The opening hours are from 9 am to 7 pm, so pay attention if you're planning to go. There are many places on the mountain without signal, so it's better to download an offline map in advance. 2. Prepare food and water in advance, so you can replenish energy if you get hungry on the mountain. 3. There are no hotels in the scenic area, but there are camping and wooden houses, felt tents of the herdsmen, and you can also stay in Kuerdening town, so there are more choices. 4. It is recommended to go here either in the morning or after 7 pm for better light and shadow, which is key for good photos. If you go at noon, the sun is very strong, and the photos taken with a mobile phone are gray and not very good.
