Relaxation at Keumgang Natural Recreation Forest in Sejong

#aprilblooms Seeking a peaceful getaway during the long holiday, I chose Keumgang Natural Recreation Forest in Sejong for a solo camping trip. Its proximity to Daejeon made for a convenient escape. I stayed at campsite number 20, and the stone walls separating each site provided a welcome sense of privacy and tranquility. While the playground was clearly designed for families, the expansive space and natural elements offered a serene backdrop for my stay. I could imagine children happily occupied for hours, fostering a lively yet contained atmosphere. The forest itself was the main draw for me. Even with the less-than-ideal weather – cloudy, chilly, and windy after rain – the abundance of trees created a calming environment. I can only imagine how wonderfully cool and shaded it would be during the summer months, perfect for escaping the heat. 🌲 The shower facilities were basic but clean and functional, meeting the needs of a solo traveler. My two-night, three-day stay was primarily focused on unwinding and reconnecting with nature. Despite the weather not cooperating fully, the quiet ambiance and the feeling of being surrounded by greenery were exactly what I needed for a restorative break. It's a great spot for some solo healing.
