Longyangxia.

On the 14th day of the trip, we visited the Dulan Haier Temple Flower Sea in the morning, and then drove 301 km (4 hours) from Dulan to Gonghe County. After arriving at the hotel, we saw that it was still early, so we drove 50 km to the Longyangxia Cliff Canyon Scenic Area. On the way, we saw many locals selling apricots. Having lived in Jiangnan for many years, we rarely saw such large and yellow apricots. We were so excited that we stopped at a farmhouse to buy apricots. There were several apricot trees in the farmhouse, with large yellow and red apricots hanging heavily on the branches, which were very tempting. We also climbed up the ladder to pick a few apricots. After buying the apricots, we drove more than 30 km to the Longyangxia Scenic Area. Longyangxia is located on the main stream of the Yellow River between Gonghe County and Guide County in Qinghai Province. Here, the Yellow River is clear and blue. Longyangxia is 40 km long, with the Yellow River running through it. The river valley is 9 km wide. On one side of the river valley is the undulating and steep Chana Mountain, and on the other side is the continuous vast plain. In the middle is a wide, flat, and fertile basin, making the entire canyon a huge natural reservoir. The Longyangxia Hydropower Station was built by the state in 1976, with a maximum dam height of 178 meters, making it the largest dam in Asia at that time. The hydropower station is 1,684 km from the source of the Yellow River and 3,376 km from the mouth of the Yellow River. It is the first large-scale cascade power station on the upper reaches of the Yellow River and is known as the "Dragon Head" power station of the Yellow River. It can not only block the annual flow of 130,000 square kilometers in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, but also form the largest artificial reservoir in China with an area of 380 square kilometers and a total storage capacity of 24 billion cubic meters.
