The king of the Ryukyu Dynasty built this Futenmangu Shrine in the underground stalactite cave and visited this place on the 15th day of the ninth month of the lunar calendar every year to perform the "Futenmangu Worship". It is known as the largest holy place in central Okinawa Prefecture, the "Futenmangu Cave (city-designated cultural property "scenic spot")". To enter the cave, you must register first and be led by a shrine maiden to enter the underground shrine.
