#ancienttown Masouleh is an ancient village, over 1,000 years old, located in the northern part of Iran in the Gilan Province. Nestled in the Alborz mountain range. The unique thing about this ancient village lies on its houses, where they are stacked on the steep mountainside. The rooftop of one house often serves as the courtyard for the house above creating a cascading effect.
