Gibraltar

Gibraltar is located at the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula in Europe, on the north shore of the eastern end of the Strait of Gibraltar. It faces the Spanish North African exclave of Ceuta to the south and commands the gateway between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Here are some famous tourist attractions in Gibraltar: Natural Landscapes - Rock of Gibraltar: A giant limestone rock 426 meters high, it is the landmark of Gibraltar and one of the dividing lines between Europe and Africa. Most of its top is a nature reserve, home to more than 250 Barbary macaques, the only wild monkey population in Europe. From the Rock, you can overlook the Strait of Gibraltar and the African continent.  - Europa Point Lighthouse: Located at the southernmost tip of Gibraltar, it is the southernmost lighthouse in Europe. On a clear day, standing near the lighthouse, you can see the North African coast across the strait.  - Catalan Bay: A beautiful beach with colorful houses and fishing boats on both sides. Tourists can enjoy the sun and sand here, and try swimming, kayaking, surfing, and other water activities. History and Culture - St. Michael's Cave: Located on the western slope of the Rock, it is one of Gibraltar's most famous caves. Inside the cave are spectacular stalactites and stalagmites, as well as underground lakes. It is now often used as a venue for concerts and other cultural events. - Great Siege Tunnels: A network of historic tunnels used for defense in past wars, it is now a popular attraction for history buffs. You can learn about Gibraltar's military history through these tunnels. - Moorish Castle: Originally built in the 8th century, it is one of the oldest buildings in Gibraltar and has witnessed the historical changes of Gibraltar. Some ancient walls, towers, and fortifications are preserved within the castle.  City Leisure - Main Street: The busiest street in Gibraltar, it has numerous shops, restaurants, and cafes. Tourists can enjoy duty-free shopping here and taste a variety of British and Mediterranean cuisine.  - Gibraltar Botanic Gardens: A wide variety of tropical and subtropical plants are planted in the garden, making the scenery pleasant. There is also a small zoo in the botanical garden where you can observe animals such as lemurs up close.
