A Peaceful Getaway at Maninsan Forest Retreat

#aprilblooms Maninsan Forest Retreat (만인산 자연휴양림) is a lovely place located on the edge of Daejeon and Geumsan, a nearby area. The little houses in the woods are really clean and look nice outside. They are also spaced far apart, which makes it quiet and private, perfect for relaxing and breathing in the fresh air. It's a truly peaceful spot! The retreat offers different paths to walk on, including easy paths and nature trails through the trees, as well as bigger trails for hiking. The entrance to the retreat is easy to find. However, to get your keys, you need to drive up to the main building at the very top. Follow the nice, cool road, and you'll see the main building with a big yard. The office is on the first floor where you pick up your keys before heading down to your little house. The little houses in the woods are charming. There are five of these houses on one side, and seven more across the road, all with plenty of space around them. Exploring the retreat, you'll find well-maintained wooden paths along the forest nature trail leading towards the Maninsan rest stop, making for easy walks. There are also other paths and hiking trails behind the houses, where you can discover a special old spot where a king's baby was once buried. The walking paths are nice and clean. You'll also find beautiful pink flowers called azaleas blooming. Finally, you might see red berries from a spindle tree. They're shaped like little hearts! If you're interested in visiting other places nearby, the Sangso-dong Forest Bathing Area in Daejeon and the Chubu Chueotang Village, known for its delicious fish soup, are recommended. Overall, Maninsan Natural Recreation Forest is a fantastic place for a quiet escape into nature.
