The Esplanade @Penang

The Esplanade is just opened to the public in May 2022 after six years of renovation and upgrading the seawall with 460 meters walkway for the public to enjoy the waterfront view. This waterfront features a historical landmarks, such as The Cenotaph war memorial and Fort Cornwallis. Penang State Art Gallery, Penang City Hall and The Malaysian Navy Base are also located here. Right on the end corner is Swettenham Cruise port located. It has become the latest popular place for Penangites to exercise, jog, relax, and enjoy the waterfront view. There are several cafes and restaurants around this area, including the famous Medan Renong Food Court. Car park on the street is allowed.
