GEN SAN na ta!!!

This is a handy travel guide if you're visiting GenSan and want to check out the nearest spots from their airport. PARADISE to TUNA LOVERS, it is a must to visit their FISHPORT located in Tambler. From the airport, single motorcycles (skylab/habal-habal) may be contracted to bring you at the complex. If you are already in the city proper, take a jeepney from downtown Gensan to Tambler. At the gate, you have to register and present a valid ID. Take note, dress code applies. Those who are wearing slippers, shorts and sleeveless are not allowed. You need to rent out jogging pants and pair of white boots (P20.00) for you to get inside. People here are used to tourist and most of them are accomodating. Second, if you want an excellent food served in a serene hilltop ambience, you must visit the SARANGGANI HIGHLAND RESORTS. Perched on the rolling hills of Tambler, this DINING BY THE SKY overlooks the wide Saranggani Bay, Mt. Matutom and Mt. Parker. Entrance Fee: P100.00 (consumable) If you've never been, you should check it out at least once for curiosity purposes. MAGANDANG GENSAN! io 🔸At tye city center, ride a tricycle going to the fishport for only 20-30 pesos. You can ask the driver to drive you through the entrance, but you would have to pay the 8 pesos entrance fee for tricycle. You can also ask the driver to wait for you but make sure to pay them better 😊 ‼️IMPORTANT NOTES: 🔸Unloading of tuna occurs as early as 5 AM. So you better be early to have a glimpse of the the large tuna's! 🔸There's a strict dress code to promote high standard of cleanliness and safety. No shorts, sando and slippers. And you need to wear a white boots when you get there. There's a boot rental near the fishport which costs 20 pesos. They also sell new socks at 20 pesos, so better to bring your own to save money. 🔸There's a lot of street vendors around the city, have a try of their Pastil (tuna)! It is the native Maguindanaon delicacy which you can see anywhere in the heart of Central Mindanao. A combination of rice and sautéed chicken, fish or beef shreds wrapped in a wilted banana leaf. With just 10 pesos, you're already full with all the side dishes available for free (cucumber, alamang and ensaladang talong). As in sa free side dishes palang busog ka na kahit super onti nung tuna na nsa kanin 😂😂😂 🔸If you want to eat seafood, go to Tiongson Arcade. There's a lot of seafood and bbq stalls there. Of course, your Gensan tour will not be complete without trying their tuna! Tuna panga is also a must try! #urbanexplorer #awesomepic #foodie #awesomepic #
