To be honest, February is not the most beautiful season in Jiufeng Village, because after reading friends’ records about Jiufeng Village, I found that summer, autumn and winter are more beautiful than this time. Despite this, staying in Yunshuijian during the off-season gives people who yearn for spiritual peace a great sense of happiness. Because the New Year had just passed, the entire village was sparsely populated and very secluded. No matter where we went, we could enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains alone. The mountains were shrouded in thick fog, and we seemed to be living in a city in the sky. —— 🚗Jiufeng Village·About Transportation It’s a 40-minute drive from the city, and the scenery along the way is beautiful, making it a great place to stop and take photos as you go. 🏠Jiufeng Village·About Accommodation The "Huakeng" of Yunshuijian Hotel is a large lakeside cottage. When the weather is fine, we can make coffee on the balcony of the lake view room. When it is cold, we can hide in the room to soak in the hot spring. The room is large enough to accommodate families, and the facilities are better than we expected, reaching the four-star configuration. The most satisfying thing is the service. Yunshuijian's service is five-star, and they are caring and sincere. I just want to borrow some fruit 🔪, and they can help cut the fruit. The weather is cold, and they can help turn on the floor heating if you ask in advance. The next day, there is a rich breakfast, authentic Fuzhou snacks... 🍚 Jiufeng Village · About food and drink Not far from Yunshuijian (5 minutes’ walk) is Pingfan Xiaolou (café/tea house). I won’t go into details about the food and appearance, you can refer to the previous note. Personally, I think it is worth making a special trip to Pingchang Xiaolou just to make tea or drink coffee. There are three well-reputed farmhouses within walking distance (Xiaozhu Tianyuan/Xiaoxiangguan/Shanhe Xiaoyuan), which offer local Fuzhou dishes (such as homemade fermented glutinous rice stewed with local chicken and duck, etc.). I didn't go there specifically to eat there, so I won't go into details. Accommodation includes breakfast on the second day, and you can also book the hotel's farm dinner or yakitori in advance for dinner on the day of check-in. On the way to Jiufeng Village, you will pass by Beiling Yellow Beef Restaurant where He Yanshi had eaten before. For lunch, I personally recommend this beef hotpot restaurant with a complete variety of fresh beef. 🚶‍♀️Jiufeng Village·About Fun I never expected that Jiufeng Village was so suitable for hiking, with many scenic spots and densely populated areas nearby. Playing in water: Jiufeng Village in summer is very suitable for playing in water and creek tracing. Looking at the stream, I can imagine how cool it is here in summer. Hiking: Nanyang Creek Plank Road, Yeren Valley Waterfall, Jiufeng Temple Plank Road. In autumn, the area around Jiufeng Village is very suitable for hiking. The scenery changes with every step, and within just a few steps you will see many green areas, ancient bridges and ancient pavilions full of ancient charm. There are also the thousand-year-old Jiufeng Temple and Nanyang Natural Village within 3km. A little further away: you will reach Linyang Temple. In winter, plum blossoms are in full bloom in Linyang Temple, attracting countless pilgrims every year to worship Buddha and enjoy the flowers during the Spring Festival. —— It can be said that once I arrived in Jiufeng Village, my camera shutter never stopped clicking.
