Fuzhou West Lake Park | Complete Guide

After visiting the Fujian Museum, you can also visit Fuzhou's classical garden - West Lake Park. 🌟West Lake Park is composed of three small islands: Kaihua Islet, Xieping Islet, and Yaojiao Islet. 🌟After leaving the Natural History Museum of Fujian Museum, you will find the north gate of the park. Cross the Yudai Bridge, and you will see the boat dock on your left. Walk clockwise around half of Kaihua Islet, passing by Hutianjingdu, Jianhumuyu, Hushanshengchu, and Gengyiting, and you will reach Guoxian Bridge at the south gate. 🌟Xianqiaoliuse is one of the eight scenic spots of West Lake. The embankment is covered with green willows, and the drooping branches sway in the wind. 🌟After passing through the Bonsai Garden, you will reach Kaihua Temple. In the Ming Dynasty, it was a private residence, and the predecessor of the temple was a small nunnery next to it. It is the oldest building in the park. 🌟On the lawn beside Feihong Bridge, there is a striking "Jiji" stone tablet, which was erected by Xu Shiying, the inspector of Fujian. 🌟Hetingchangwan is surrounded by the lake on three sides, and the lotus is flourishing. 🌟The spotted eucalyptus trees on the roadside are tall and straight, with smooth bark. The scars formed by the peeling of the bark add a unique beauty. 🌟West Lake Academy was originally Wutong Temple, which was later destroyed by the county governor. The local sages established the academy on its site. 🌟Finally, exit the park from the west gate.
