My Koktokay in Altay

Every summer is the peak of tourism in Xinjiang, and many people will go to Hemu and Kanas in Northern Xinjiang's Altay, but not specifically to Koktokay. Navigate to the Koktokay Iremut Lake 300 Hostel, located at the confluence of the Irtysh and Kayirt Rivers, resonating with the surrounding villages. ✅ Koktokay No.3 Mine Pit: The most worthwhile scenic spot in Koktokay Town, not just for the touch of green in the mine, but most importantly because it provided raw materials for China's 'Two Bombs, One Satellite' and took on the 'heavy burden of the nation' - repaying the Soviet Union's debt (as high as 2.1 billion). At that time, the winter temperature in Koktokay No.3 Mine Pit could reach as low as -57°C, with harsh working conditions and extreme survival limits, measuring the resilience of the national will and the bravery and diligence of the people, truly a 'meritorious mine pit'.
