The autumn leaves are beautiful at this time of year, and it's also known as Tengu's garden. The road will be closed for the winter in mid-November, so now is your last chance to go this year, and if you miss it, you won't be able to go again until around May. There are also hot springs nearby where you can soothe your tired body, so I recommend going there. Takayu Onsen in particular is known as a beauty bath and is definitely worth a dip in.
