Are Enoshima & Fujisawa Worth a Visit? (Jan 2024)

As part of our itinerary for our Japan 2024 trip, we wanted to explore nearby cities to Tokyo and decided to visit Enoshima and Fujisawa. These places are not very far away from Tokyo and you could get there by buying the day pass. The day pass is useful as it allows unlimited travel within the designated area. We arrived at Enoshima first to visit the Enoshima Aquarium. The aquarium itself is quite huge but some of the enclosures were closed due to renovation (what a pity). Nonetheless, it was still worth the visit. We also managed to spot Mt. Fuji from Enoshima Aquarium, which was an awesome opportunity thanks for the fabulous weather on that day! We then headed to the nearby island (Enoshima Island) which was a walking distance from Enoshima Aquarium. The iconic structure on this island is the Enoshima Sea Candle. We had to climb steps to get to the viewpoint. There is also a small entrance fee to enter the sea candle park but we didn’t proceed as it was daytime when we visited. It’ll be prettier at night in our opinion. We didn’t get to visit Fujisawa in the end but there are plenty of temples in Fujisawa for those who are interested in visiting. Enoshima alone could cover a full day programme so plan your trip wisely (: #enoshima2024 #japan2024
