Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine enshrines Konohanasakuyahime-no-mikoto. It is the head shrine of the more than 1,300 Sengen shrines across the country, and is the Ichinomiya of Suruga Province. It was originally enshrined at the foot of Mount Fuji to calm eruptions. If you shift your gaze to the right from the torii gate, you'll get a beautiful view of Mount Fuji! The main hall is a two-story tower built in a unique style called "Asama-zukuri."
