Volcanic Rock Island, Lanzarote

Location: Lanzarote is situated off of mainland Africa and is part of the Spanish Canary Islands, not named from the bird, but from the Latin word for dogs. Due to it's geographical location, the island receives beautiful sunny days with gusts of wind to cool you down. Things to do: whilst lounging by the pool may be on your to do list on such a sunny island, there are also many activities you can do outside of your hotel, like hiking mountains and volcanoes, scuba diving in the shallow waters off the beach, snorkelling, boat rides and experiencing local culture such as dancing.
