Fuyan Temple Pagoda in Fuxian County, Shaanxi

The Fuyan Temple Pagoda is an octagonal, thirteen-tiered dense-eave pavilion-style hollow brick pagoda, standing 30.2 meters tall with a base inner diameter of 6 meters. The first tier features an arched doorway, while tiers two through eight have either arched doorways or niches. Tiers one to six showcase five-step bracket sets with double cantilevers, while tiers seven to ten display single-cantilever four-step bracket sets. No bracket sets appear above the tenth tier. The pagoda's top is formed by flat bricks converging to a point without a finial. Built with precisely fitted blue bricks using a mortar mixture of yellow clay, white lime, and glutinous rice water, the pagoda leans slightly eastward and has a spindle-like shape.
