Wanaka Helicopter Tour to Glacier

#Snow Viewing The activity I was most looking forward to in New Zealand was taking a helicopter to see the glaciers. I had originally planned to take a helicopter at Mount Cook, but due to the schedule and weather changes, I didn't make a reservation in advance. It was so full that there was no seat, so I was a little disappointed. Later, when I arrived in Wanaka, I saw this itinerary at the entrance of i-site and asked about it immediately. I was really lucky. If I hadn't flown that day, I might have to wait until the day after tomorrow because the weather forecast for tomorrow was strong and windy and I might not be able to fly. Fortunately, there was still a spot available at 2:30 pm. I immediately put on the warmest equipment and drove to the place where I would catch the helicopter. We drove from I-site towards Wanaka National Park and the scenery along the way was really beautiful. New Zealand is really a country where outdoor activities are very popular. We even saw skydiving activities along the way. And when I was riding the helicopter, I saw several groups of foreigners taking wedding photos. They were so elegant, wearing simple dresses and matching drinks and flowers, so fu, unlike us who were fully armed and wrapped like meat dumplings XD When we arrived at the helicopter boarding place, we first checked in at the counter, and then the staff let us read the precautions for taking the helicopter. What is very special is that everyone needs to measure their weight, they need to know the weight of the helicopter, and wear earmuffs, headphones and microphones. Both adults and children were really excited to take a helicopter ride. Luckily, our family was the only one on the trip, so I had a great view from the front seat. From the moment of takeoff, I could see the surrounding plains, rivers, trees, forests and mountains. As the altitude increased, I could gradually see the snow-covered mountaintops. The helicopter slowly moved forward, bypassed several mountaintops and landed near a riverbed. After letting a father and son get on board, it continued to fly towards the mountains. The journey along the way is really spectacular, and you can also see the glacier and ice waterfalls, which are really beautiful. Taking a helicopter is a rare opportunity to appreciate the beauty of glaciers and icebergs up close. Finally, the helicopter will stop at the top of the mountain at 2200km so that you can get off the plane to play in the snow and take pictures. The weather that day was really great, with blue sky, white clouds and snow scenery that was really beautiful. We signed up for a 35-minute trip. The two adults and two little girls in our family were free because they were under 15kg, so the fare was 1,027 NZD (about NT22,449). Because the helicopter company picked up guests midway and asked us if we agreed before departure, we flew for about 1 hour in total and earned some money (1 hour is much more expensive XD). But I was a little motion sick on the way back, but luckily we got there in no time, haha😄 #familytravel #100waystotravel
