Kawagebo | Eternal Belief in the Snowy Land

Last month, I revisited Kawagebo during my trip to Diqing. Deep in the Hengduan Mountains, clouds and snow lines intertwine, and a pyramid-like snow peak pierces the blue sky—this is Kawagebo. It is the main peak of the Meili Snow Mountain, with an altitude of 6,740 meters, and is the highest point in Yunnan Province. When the first ray of morning light falls on the mountain top, the outline of Kawagebo gradually emerges from the clouds, like a golden holy mountain, which is what people call "Sunlight on the Golden Mountain." This is the whisper of the gods, a gift from nature to the devout believers. Some heights do not need to be climbed, just looked up to; some sacred places do not need to be trekked, just revered. The true holy land is never at the top of the mountain, but in the clear world in your eyes when you look up. 🌄🙏
