Philippi Archaeological Site, Kavala

#summervacay Philippi is a fascinating blend of Greek, Roman, and early Christian history. It’s where Saint Paul preached and where some of the first Christian baptisms happened, which adds spiritual depth to the site. The ruins include a theater, forum, basilicas, and an ancient prison. It’s a quiet site, not overrun with tourists, so you can take your time and really imagine the past. I found it peaceful, educational, and hauntingly beautiful.
