Head to the clouds! The happiness of self-driving in Fengning Cloud Grassland can only be understood by those who have been there

Cloud Grassland Scenic Area, formerly known as Liushugou Sparse Tree Grassland, is located within the territory of Datang Town, Fengning Manchu Autonomous County, Chengde City. It is situated at the beginning of the first grassland north of Beijing, and just across a mountain road is the Qiansongba area in the Baili Tianlu Scenic Area. The highest altitude here is 2192 meters, covering an area of 70 square kilometers. Not only does it have mountains and large windmills, but also sparse tree grasslands, wetland lakes, metasequoia trees, and so on, a pristine scenic area. Last year, I, Yilan, visited once and liked it very much. It is a great place to get close to nature and relax. At the end of June this year, I came to Fengning Bashang Grassland again, and of course, I had to visit Cloud Grassland. The weather was superb on the day I went, with big white clouds filling the sky. Upon entering the scenic area, our car headed towards the mountaintop, and I couldn't help but say to my friend, 'Play 'Head to the Clouds'!' With the song playing on loop, we drove towards the clouds through the greenery, and the feeling was just too wonderful, as if my heart had flown up to the clouds in joy~ Self-driving tour route: After entering the entrance by car, at the first fork in the road, there are clear signs. Drive down along Birch Bend - Liulan Valley - Spruce Slope - Yangxin Pool - Golden Lotus Lake - Lincao Boundary - Jiuku Mountain Road - Cloud Sea Sunrise - Colorful Forest Slope - Chrysanthemum Summit, where you will see many cattle and sheep leisurely grazing among the trees. Spruce Slope and Yangxin Pool are surrounded by towering trees. Walking along the winding paths in the forest, the mottled sunlight dances through the treetops, and there is no summer heat at all. Even at noon, it is very cool to walk in the woods. After Chrysanthemum Summit, the road is not paved, and you can turn back to Liulan Valley from here. Following the signs along the mountain road, I started playing 'Head to the Clouds' on loop again. Our car was embraced by white clouds all the way, with the entire Bashang in view. The top of Dongshan is flat and open, with an excellent view. Standing on the mountaintop, you can see all the smaller mountains at a glance. On a clear day, it is an excellent place to watch the sunset. The evening glow on the grassland is truly magnificent and well worth the trip. The scenic area has been upgraded, and most of the roads have been paved. It is recommended to follow the scenic area roads and not to drive on unpaved roads, as it is easy to puncture tires. 2. There is a large temperature difference on the grassland. You can wear summer clothes during the day, but you need to add a coat in the morning and evening, especially if you want to watch the sunset on Dongshan, where the wind is strong and the temperature is low. It's best to prepare a windbreaker with a hat and fleece. 3. There are no commercial facilities in the scenic area, so prepare water and food in advance.
