Bamboo Branch Garden

The Bamboo Branch Garden is located on the north side of Baidi City and was newly built in recent years. The garden is filled with lush bamboo trees and contains a statue of Liu Yuxi, commemorating this Middle Tang Dynasty poet who once served as the governor of Kuizhou. Liu Yuxi, having participated in Wang Shuwen's political reform movement, suffered repeated demotions and successively held the positions of governor of Lianzhou, deputy governor of Langzhou, and governor of Kuizhou, being exiled to remote provinces for a long time. He composed the widely acclaimed 'Bamboo Branch Words' during his time in Kuizhou, from which the name of the Bamboo Branch Garden is derived.
