The area around Taipingba is surrounded by high mountains without cliffs and precipices. Gentle slopes form the mountains, which are covered with dense forests. At the foot of the mountains, there are grasslands, and farmlands are clustered around the mountainsides. Houses are irregularly yet naturally situated there, forming traditional settlements that create a vast scene in the mist. In the summer, Taipingba is free from the scorching air and the steamy heat. The sun is strong, but the atmosphere is refreshing and pleasant. Many elderly people from the city flock here to escape the summer heat. As night falls, the sky is dotted with stars, and the people on the ground are singing and dancing in peace and contentment. Although I prefer quietness, I am surprisingly ignited by such a comfortable natural environment. The folk band formed spontaneously by villagers and tourists is quite skilled. There is an uncle playing the saxophone and an aunt playing the suona. It's not just ordinary singing and playing; they have some level of proficiency. We stopped and listened for a long time.
