This is my home church, a great place to worship God among friends

#uttlesfordtrips The church was open when I was passing. Free car park nearby. It made for a lovely, cool, calm, atmospheric and interesting stop off from a long drive on a very hot day. St Mary the Virgin is a Grade l listed building having continuous interesting development from C13 to C19. The walls of the chancel and the north and south transepts were built 1220-40. The south aisle was added in the early C14 and the north aisle in 1390.
