The Most Dangerous Airport, Lukla

I must say this is one of my favourites flight! the journey from Kathmandu to Lukla was only 30 minutes and around 137km. But it was the most rewarding and breathtaking view i had. you will be feasted with lotsa mountains and clouds landscape. I was told that Lukla airport or known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport is one of the most dangerous airport. Thanks to its shortest runways hemmed in by the Himalayan mountains. Actually our flight got u turned previously because of the bad weather at the mountains. it was quite an experience when the flight u turned and we were thankful that the next flight was a success. There is a nice guest house very near to the Lukla Airport. Yummeyy lunch & the owner was very kind to lend us prayer mat & praying area. p/s: rated as the most dangerous airport in the world & in January 2008 the airport was renamed in honor of Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, the first people to reach the summit of Mount Everest and also to mark their efforts in the construction of this airport (Wikipedia, 2015) #airport #lukla #himalayan #nepal
