The 64th stop in Türkiye, OMM Odunpazari Modern Museum

🌈Attractions: Odunpazarı Modern Museum is a new cultural landmark in Eskişehir, Turkey. It has a unique exterior design. It was designed by Kengo Kuma and Associates. The facade is made entirely of wood, which just echoes the history of the Odunpazarı area as a timber trading market, and echoes the surrounding traditional Ottoman wooden cantilevered houses. The museum has an ingenious spatial layout, with three floors in total. The interior space is composed of stacked and interlocking boxes of different sizes. Large artworks are displayed on the bottom floor, and small and medium-sized artworks are displayed on the upper floor. An atrium made of wooden blocks connects the floors, and natural light shines in from the skylight, creating a transparent and bright atmosphere. The museum's rich art collection was collected by Erol Tabanca over 15 years. The collection spans the 1950s to the present, covering a variety of forms such as painting, sculpture, photography, installation art, etc., with more than a thousand pieces. Currently, the focus is on displaying works by Turkish artists such as Burhan Doganczaj, Azad Kok, etc., as well as works by internationally renowned artists.
