Emei Mountain Wannian Temple

Wannian Temple was first built during the Eastern Jin Dynasty and was originally named Puxian Temple. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Shenzong bestowed the name 'Shengshou Wannian Temple' and built the beamless brick hall, which has been preserved to this day. The main buildings include the mountain gate, the Maitreya Hall, the beamless brick hall, the majestic treasure hall, and the Mahavira Hall, among others. The beamless brick hall is entirely made of bricks, without any wood, pillars, or tiles. You can take a cable car up the mountain, with self-driving cars parked at the Wannian Temple parking lot, and the cable car station is right across. After exiting the cable car station, it is a short walk to the temple, and a short climb up the steps will get you there. Along the way, you will see many small Emei monkeys.
