The beauty of Mount Emei

During summer, while most places are scorched by the blazing sun and on high temperature alert, Mount Emei feels like a gentle spring breeze, cool and refreshing. Although we often describe the weather changes and diverse scenery of Mount Emei with the saying 'one mountain hosts all four seasons, ten miles show different skies,' summer is when it's at its most beautiful. It's like climbing and playing in the water, sipping tea and practicing Zen, listening to cicadas and watching monkeys... all in a huge natural air-conditioned room—utterly delightful! The weather here changes on a whim, and the sky might suddenly start drizzling, breaking the calm of the lake surface, but there's no need to worry about the next day's photo opportunities. Little do people know, the lake after the rain becomes even more enchanting. A tranquil lake surface might suddenly be enveloped by a rising mist, twisting and turning, shadowy and dreamlike. The water here is ice-cold to the bone, completely free from the city's sweltering heat.
