[Edinburgh City at a Glance] In Scotland in winter, Edinburgh has short days, so it gets dark by 4 p.m. That’s why I recommend going up to Calton Hill around 3 p.m. to enjoy the ever-changing view of Edinburgh’s city center! You know that watching the sunset is a must, right?🧡 The view of the sea behind the clock tower is so pretty, so be sure to take a leisurely stroll around the back. Come to think of it, I went up to Calton Hill every day while I was in Edinburgh. Haha!
