Dean Village View Point is a tourist attraction found on Google Map. Later I found out that it is one of the hidden Instagram check-in spots. The quiet little village, the small bridge and the flowing water are full of fairy-tale colors. I personally think it is definitely one of the good places for photography in Edinburgh and one of the must-see attractions. Dean Village was once the site of a water mill. It is located below the new town, away from the old town where tourist attractions are concentrated. It is about a 30-minute walk away. It is closer to Haymarket and can be reached in about 15 minutes on foot. We first went to the Dean Village View Point shown on Google Map, and walked down a staircase. We soon arrived at a small village with a row of yellow houses. We walked down along the river and reached a blue bridge. Standing in the center of the bridge, you can take the most central and beautiful pictures here and appreciate the river and the buildings on both sides. You can also walk under the bridge and get closer to the river to appreciate the buildings and reflections along the shore. It's very fairy-tale-like! In addition to standing on the Blue Bridge, I personally think that the scenery at Bell’s Brae Bridge is beautiful, as it allows you to appreciate the front part of the river and the buildings along the coast from a higher angle. Then we walked to the bottom of The Dean Bridge, where there is a small waterfall. There are green areas on both sides of the river. Going straight ahead is the extension of the Water of Leith Walkway. There is a small hiking route and a quiet village in the city. The style is very un-Edinburgh, but very special! If you have time in Edinburgh, this is a place worth visiting!
