Doubletree Queensferry Edinburgh

The Doubletree Queensferry #edinburgh #hotel overlooks the scenic river forth as well as the Queensferry crossing bridge, which connects the hotel with the heart of Edinburgh. It is a great place to stay if you are on #holiday to explore Edinburgh if you prefer somewhere peaceful and scenic and have you own transport to own, or if you don’t mind taking a short bus ride downtown. The hotel is wonderfully maintained and look stylish, the rooms that overlook Queensferry is amazing, spacious and modern looking. Typical doubletree look. Buffet breakfast is good and there is also an on-site restaurant which serves very good food. #travelinspiration#awesomepic#couplestrip#unforgettableexperiences#naturalwonders#culturalattractions

Scott Monument

The Scott Monument is a Victorian Gothic monument to Scottish author Sir Walter Scott. Following Scott's death in 1832, a competition was held to design a monument to him. The foundation stone was laid on 15 August 1840. Construction began in 1841 following permission by Parliament's Monument to Sir Walter Scott Act and ran for nearly four years. It was completed in the autumn of 1844, with Kemp's son placing the finial in August of the year. The total cost was just over £16,154.[5] The monument was inaugurated on 15 August 1846, but George Meikle Kemp was absent. He had fallen into the Union Canal while walking home from the site and drowned on the foggy evening of 6 March 1844. #newphotographer #travelinspiration #scenicspotguide #unforgettableexperiences #awesomepic #historicculture #urbanexplorer
