During the crowded summer vacation, there are not many tourists in Heizhugou, and it's very cool! The altitude is around 2000 meters, which is not too high, making it kid-friendly as well. Suggested itinerary: 2⃣️ days Depart from Chengdu—Have lunch in Leshan—Heizhugou There is only one hotel in the scenic area, which is quite old; We didn't stay inside the scenic area, but at a nearby hotel called 'Clouds Above the Ancient Well', which also provided free hot spring tickets. We went to the hot springs at the entrance of Heizhugou (after five o'clock, you don't need to buy a ticket to the scenic area and can enter with very few people). Precautions Remember to bring rain gear, as it rains easily. It's best to have disposable raincoats and the like. Although it's cool, the ultraviolet rays are still strong, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun. There is food for sale only at the entrance of the scenic area, not along the way, so remember to bring your own food and water. There are potatoes and barbecue for sale at the entrance. We decided to try some when leaving, and the barbecue was delicious! It's the kind that's slowly grilled over charcoal, worth a try.
