Dunedin's Must-Visit Gothic Church

St. Paul's Cathedral in Dunedin, located in the city center of New Zealand's South Island, is a religious and cultural landmark. Built between 1862 and 1863, it serves as the cathedral of the Anglican Diocese of Dunedin and is a Gothic Revival architectural structure inspired by European Gothic cathedrals. Its towering spire is magnificent and has stood for over 150 years. It is the only church in New Zealand with a vaulted nave made of limestone. The entire church is constructed from stone, and the 38 marble steps leading to the entrance were quarried from Takaka Hill in Nelson. The church's interior features a distinctive porch, bell tower, nave, altar, organ, stained glass windows, More Hall, and exterior appearance.
