Beyond the Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa. The tower became the world’s tallest man-made structure just 1,325 days after excavation work started in January 2004. Burj Khalifa utilised a record-breaking 330,000 cubic metres of concrete 39,000 tonnes of steel reinforcement; 103,000 square metres of glass and 15,500 square metres of embossed stainless steel. The tower took 22 million man hours to build. Wow fantastic! Everywhere you go in Dubai you cannot miss seeing the Burj Khalifa. The standard ticket takes you to the 125th floor. If you want to go the the 154th floor you get a free alcoholic drink and unlimited snacks and drinks, served in comfortable surroundings. There is also no glass panels to interrupt your photographs. The views of the city are fantastic depending on the weather. The only downside is the cost, almost £200 to go to the top floor.
