Dubai Hot Air Balloon Guide~ Seeking the Dots of Color in the Vast Desert.

Dubai's hot air balloon rides are not as popular as those in Cappadocia, but the experience is still quite good. It’s not as colorful and complex, just a few dots of color adorning the vast desert in the early morning, vast and expansive. Unfortunately, the flights will stop on May 31st and may not resume until September or October. However, the process should be similar, so I’m sharing it for your reference. Feel free to leave comments and ask questions. 1️⃣ Between 4:00 and 4:15 AM, the hot air balloon company driver will pick you up and take you to the hot air balloon location. The exact time will be notified 1-2 days before the flight. Be sure to be on time, as being late can cause you to miss the flight. Remember to bring a jacket, as the desert can be chilly in the early morning. 2️⃣ After a 40-minute to 1-hour drive, you will reach the desert hot air balloon launch site. Here, the captain will introduce the flight precautions and distribute safety belts. Simple coffee and hot tea will also be provided. 3️⃣ Once the hot air balloon is inflated and upright, passengers will board in batches and fasten their seat belts. The large basket below is divided into four sections, each accommodating about 10 people. At this time, you can also hand your phone to the staff for photos. 4️⃣ Once everything is ready, the captain will ignite the gas to heat the balloon, allowing it to slowly take off. The altitude is maintained at around 1000 meters, drifting with the wind. At this time, there will also be other hot air balloons flying around, creating a spectacular scene. On the day we flew, there was heavy fog, so the balloon seemed to break through the clouds until it emerged. The sky was clear, and the sun 🌞 rose slowly along the clouds, shining warmly on our faces. Meanwhile, the accompanying staff will hand over a falcon 🦅 to each person for photos, with the blue sky and sunrise as the background, creating a poetic scene. 5️⃣ After flying for about 40 minutes to 1 hour, the captain will find a suitable spot to land. As you approach the ground, you need to squat slightly to reduce the impact of the landing, then wait for the convoy to pick you up. 6️⃣ If your package includes breakfast, the driver will take you to the camp (last photo) for breakfast and to experience horse and camel riding. If not, you will be taken directly back to the hotel. Personally, if the hotel breakfast is good, I recommend choosing a package without breakfast. The camp breakfast is quite average, and camel riding can be experienced at the dune bashing camp, so there’s no need to spend extra money. 7️⃣ You will arrive back at the hotel around 9 to 10 AM, at which point you can either have breakfast or go back to sleep.
