Desert Dream

Dubai Miracle Garden opened its doors to visitors on February 14, 2013. The opening date was chosen for a reason, the park became a gift for the already universally beloved holiday — Valentine's Day. The main highlight of the Garden is not the uniqueness of the flowers presented here — you have seen many of them many times in your life. There are only about 70 species of them in the park — the simplest petunias (there are most of them here), calendula, tulips, roses. The garden is unique primarily in that all this floral riot grows in a completely dead desert. To grow flowers in such difficult conditions, the park requires 757,000 liters of water daily! High technologies make it possible to use purified water from urban wastewater for this purpose. A drip irrigation network is spread throughout the Garden — hoses with holes that periodically give out microdoses of water sufficient to maintain plant life. The Garden of Wonders really works wonders: here, unusual landscape figures are created from the simplest flowers. On an area of 7 hectares, you can see dozens of different compositions, which involve an average of about 100 million flowers. For example, in the very center of the park, in gratitude for what was done for the country, a portrait of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, a landmark personality for the Emirates in every sense, literally grew up. It took a thousand colors to create the portrait. Nearby, you can see in detail what the world's tallest skyscraper Burj Khalifa looks like. The original building is an 828—meter tower in Dubai, an 18-meter replica of it has been recreated in the Flower Park. There are also upside-down houses, waterfalls of flowers, rare cars overgrown with flowers, flower clocks, sculptures and incredibly shaped flower beds. In order for such a garden to be possible at all, the best landscape designers from the United States, Europe and of course the UAE themselves have invested their work and talent here. Hundreds of workers create the park's exposition twice a year, embodying new ideas. Therefore, arriving in one year, you will find some compositions, and six months later — completely different ones. #trip #garden #flowerlover
