Actually, this is Dongguan, the Ming and Qing ancient village of Nanshe. This place is very characteristic of Lingnan. Walking inside, it feels like traveling back hundreds of years. The ancient buildings and the bluestone roads tell stories of the past. The Jidi Stele and the Zizhengdi seem to narrate the glory of the family back then. I had a bowl of scallion oil noodles at the Nanshe noodle shop. The lady boss immediately knew it was my first time here and was very enthusiastic. The taste of the noodles was also great. Official introduction: Located in Chashan Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, it is a typical Lingnan bloodline clan village with a history of more than 800 years. The total protected area of the ancient village is 110,000 square meters, with more than 200 ancient residences, 32 ancient ancestral halls, and 5 temples. Typical representatives of Ming and Qing architecture include the Xie Clan Ancestral Hall, Baishoufang, and Zizhengdi. The Ming and Qing ancient village of Nanshe has been successively rated as a "National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit," "Chinese Historical and Cultural Village," "Chinese Scenic Village," and "Chinese Ethnic Excellent Architecture and Charming Village." In 2020, Nanshe Ancient Village was included in the "Cultural and Tourism Development Plan of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area," officially becoming part of the national cultural tourism strategy. The Ming and Qing ancient village of Nanshe is a national 4A-level scenic spot, has been developed, and charges an entrance fee of 30 yuan per adult.
