The actual distance between the two toll gates is 50 km. Driving from the northern toll gate to the southern toll gate involves more downhill roads and took 2 hours in total. During the trip, we stopped for a 30-minute nap and also got off at a scenic viewpoint to check in and fly a drone. So as long as you don’t stop for meals and just visit the scenic viewpoints, 3 hours is more than enough, and there’s no need to pay the entrance fee. Regarding road conditions, from Zero Kilometer towards Zagana, half of the route is full of potholes, making the road bumpy and vehicles easily get muddy.
