How to get around Desaru beachfront area?

Desaru beachfront is located along the coastal line in the east of Malaysia. There might be a cluster of resorts there. However, getting around is not easy. There is a shuttle bus that brings you to a few different resorts around the area and also to the ferry terminal. I would seriously recommend driving a car there as it allows you the flexibility of going to the nearest town which is 10 mins away. You can find food and groceries there.
