Hidden gem on top of sacred mountain

When visiting Shangri-La, and if you like hiking i would definitely recommend this light hiking tour to Abu Ghizot. Sacred mountain for Tibetians, with gorgeous lake on top. You have to find a local tour guide (that preferably speaks English so he can explain you history of the mountain and the lake) to take you to the mountain. It s 45 minutes outside of the city. Tour costs 180-190rmb for a day tour. The lake is on 4200 m so climbing up can be a little challenging. In the bottom are wooden cabins where you can buy food and drinks before or after the hike. There are also several resting points where you can sit and chill and enjoy beautiful nature around you.
