The best view hotel in Meili! You must come to Shangri-La to chase the Golden Mountain bathed in sunrise that you can see just by lying down! Although I didn't catch the Golden Mountain on the day I went, I still want to recommend the beautiful hotel where I stayed to watch the snow mountain—'Snow Mountain Awakening'. The name is as beautiful as it is apt, with a large window at the head of the bed facing the Meili Snow Mountain, waking up to the view of the snow mountain~ The room has a great view and is very close to the Feilai Temple viewing platform, allowing you to enjoy the mountain scenery at any time. The rooftop viewing platform here is also amazing, with an unobstructed view of the snow mountain. It's a pity that there were too many clouds that morning, but I still saw a beautiful snow mountain rainbow (you can see my previous post)! It takes about three hours to travel from Dukezong Ancient Town to the Feilai Temple viewing platform. It's time-consuming and requires effort. Good groups usually depart at around two in the morning to catch the sunrise on the Golden Mountain (and there's a chance you won't see it), so I still suggest staying there for a night. If you don't catch the sunrise on the Golden Mountain, you can still take beautiful photos to your heart's content. The restaurant at their place also has a great view, enjoying breakfast facing the snow mountain. When leaving, the hotel even gave a Tibetan-style souvenir, which was super thoughtful!
