Kyushu National Museum

If you love history and culture, Kyushu National Museum is a must-visit! The building itself is stunning—a futuristic glass structure set against lush green hills—but inside is where the real treasures are. The museum focuses on Japan’s connections with Asia, showcasing artifacts from China, Korea, and Southeast Asia. I was fascinated by the ancient samurai armor, Buddhist sculptures, and traditional scroll paintings. There are also interactive exhibits, making it fun for kids and adults alike. One thing I loved was how well-organized the exhibits were—even if you’re not a history buff, everything is easy to understand. Plus, the museum is located right next to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, so it’s easy to visit both in one trip!
