Jiufanggou Ancient Fortress

Jiufanggou Ancient Fortress is located in Taoling Village, Fengdian Town, Dawu County, Xiaogan City, Hubei Province. It is a large and relatively well-preserved ancient residential complex in the Dabie Mountains. Originally built in the late Ming Dynasty, the fortress boasts over 300 years of history. It comprises several structures, including Mingtang, Qinglongtai, an ancient bridge, the Yan Family's old residence, and the Yan Family Ancestral Hall, forming a multi-courtyard complex with a total area exceeding 10,000 square meters. 📍 Getting There: ✅ By Car: From Xiaogan, take G107 National Road to Xiaochang Huayuan, transfer to S243 to Fangfan Town, Dawu County. Follow Fangxin Line to Xincheng Town, then take Maoxin Line to Xinpeng Line, and finally turn onto Wuxuan Line to Fengdian Town. Jiufanggou Ancient Fortress is a 7 km drive from there. ✅ From Wuhan: Drive via G4 Jingzhu Expressway to the Dawu/S304 exit.
