This cathedral is one of the oldest Mudéjar buildings in Spain and is a great example of the fusion of different architectural styles.

The building has a square plan and is divided into three floors. The construction process began in the middle of the 12th century using classic Romanesque ashlar stone, which was replaced with traditional Mudejar bricks in the 13th century when the second part was built. Its decoration is very simple. The semicircular apse is also Romanesque, with three stylized windows between the battlements. However, the main part of the church was extensively remodeled in the early 18th century in the Baroque style and the orientation of the church was changed.
