Daci Temple

Daci Temple (西苑) is an ancient temple located in the heart of Chengdu. This Buddhist temple has a history of over 1,600 years and is one of the most important temples in China. It is situated in the Taikooli area and is a significant Mahayana Buddhist temple in Chengdu with a long history of 1,600 years. The famous monk Xuanzang (Tang Sanzang) once stayed here for a period. The temple houses many sacred objects, such as the wooden statue of Guanyin (Avalokiteshvara) in the blessing posture and various Buddha statues.
