Blue Gecko Cafe - warm atmosphere

#tigeryear2022 #dalioldtown #honglongjing #cafe #international After a visit of Dali Old Town and the Chongsheng Temple and Three Pagodas Cultural Tourism Area, we had a relaxing dessert at the Blue Gecko Cafe in Dali Old Town. The weather was great in the morning, but slowly the clouds gathered and the temperatures dropped a bit. We did quite a workout working our way up to Chongsheng Temple on foot and the kids already started complaining that the stairs are never ending. So I thought it will be nice if I surprise them with a sweet dessert after their hard work today. We hopped out of our taxi just at Honglongjing Gate and walked out way down towards our hotel, when I noticed this small, but attractive Cafe on our way. It surprised me that the lady working here spoke perfect English, so we walked inside. And it was warm and nice, so we started looking through the menu right away. They have great selection of food, starting with breakfast, international or fusion, desserts and drinks. We had banana-chocolate crepes and maple syrup waffles, oreo milkshake and cappuccino for drinks. Delicious.
