Bao Dai’s Summer Palace - Dalat, Vietnam

Bao Dai Palace was built in 1933 as the summer residence of the last emperor of Vietnam. When the country became socialist, as well as during the war with the Americans, it was used in various ways, even as a general staff. Currently, the Bao Dai Palace is a house-museum that anyone can visit. Here, the interior arrangement of the palace, as it was under the emperor (until 1945), has been preserved to the smallest detail: tables, chairs, cabinets, sofas, armchairs and other interior items, a kitchen, a reception room, a bathroom, a toilet. The residence is located on a hill overlooking the city. Around the palace there is a small park, which is maintained daily by several gardeners. The two-story mansion, where the ruler's family lived with their children, has 25 rooms. In our opinion, this is one of the most interesting sights of Dalat. #solotravel #vietnam
